Superbowl Sunday - GO SEAHAWKS!!
I'm really a KC Chiefs fan, so since they're not in the Superbowl game this year, I just have to cheer the Seahawks on.
So.........GO SEAHAWKS!!!!
Win big, and win it all!!
A place for me to share my love of crochet, archery and my family with all of you.

Here's my hubby, Mike (in the middle) and our boys, Andy (left) age 12, Tyke (right) age 15. This was taken last fall when they were elk hunting.

This is a picture of our "Rotating Pigs". They move in a circle and people had to shoot through an opening in some hay bales to hit them. It was a big hit.
You can kind of see in this picture the set-up of one of the shooting lanes. We try to make them look natural by using Christmas trees, sagebrush and tall grass around the targets.

My Aunt called me yesterday and asked me to come over. She said she's going through a lot of stuff and wanted to get rid of some yarn. She gave me 4 boxes!! I'm so excited about it. It's even sorted by colors already. She called me back today and said she has another box of the fancy yarns that we missed yesterday.
My Aunt is 83 years old and she's still talking about making more afghans and sewing quilts with the yarn and material she is keeping. She's pretty awesome.

Well, the archery range is set-up and we're about ready for the public to bombard us today at the show. The weather is windy and some rain is expected, but no snow. Hopefully, we'll get a good turnout at the show this weekend.
The kids have to go to school today, then they will spend the weekend at the show helping the littler kids shoot a bow. I can remember when many years ago when we used to take our kids and they'd get so excited shooting those balloons. Now we're in charge of it all and we get to share this fun sport with others.
I won't get to crochet much this weekend. I'll be itching to get back to it by Monday, I'm sure.

In November our archery club puts on a Turkey Shoot and Swap Meet. We play archery poker and shoot balloons to win frozen turkeys and baked goods. Here's a few pictures from that night. We had a decent turnout and lots of fun. It's our warm-up for our winter indoor tournaments.

We're getting ready to set-up our archery range for the local sportsman's show this weekend. We set-up on Thursday and the show opens on Friday. It's a lot of work, but also a lot of fun to see people that I don't see any other time. Hopefully, I can post some pictures of it next week and you can see what we have to do.
Today, I have to go make copies of archery shoot flyers and our club brochure for the show. I'm also trying to finish up an afghan for someone. I'm sooooo close to finishing it today!

I made these pillows for an auction during our state archery convention. These are what 2 of the targets look like.

This is an Arrowhead Afghan that I made recently. I sold it and am now making another one for the same person.

It sounds like we won't have rain today, but the wind is going to blow, blow, blow! I'll be glad when spring finally gets here.
We have been working on the preparations for our 3 day archery shoot at the local sportsman's show. We have Thursday to set up this indoor shooting range. It's a lot of work and we depend on a lot of our club members to put it on. I do enjoy the show itself, since I get to visit with friends that I only see once a year.
I'm working on an afghan that a friend ordered from me this month. I hope to have it done within 2 weeks. Then I have until Feb. 5th to finish one for a raffle item at another archery shoot. I'll post pictures once I get them done.

This is our dog KC Rose. She is a Bassett Hound and Australian Sherpherd mix. She's the funniest dog. In this picture, she's quite a bit smaller than she is now. KC thinks she's a lapdog and just doesn't understand that at 55 lbs. she's too big.
