I've Been Tagged!

I have been tagged by both Miranda (showmetheyarn) and Lisa (aplayfulyarn) for this Meme.

THE RULES: Each player of this game starts with the 6 weird things about you. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says you are tagged in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

1. When eating french fries, I always bite off the bad spots and leave them on my plate or in the bag.

2. I tape certain soap operas every day and if someone changes the channel and the wrong thing is recorded, I get really mad about it.

3. It really annoys me when my husband changes my mirrors in my SUV. I have to manually adjust them every time he drives it.

4. I fall asleep reading at night and almost always drop the book on the floor. The noise wakes me up so I can turn off the night light.

5. I like catsup with my eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, beef and pork. I can't imagine using it on chicken though.

6. I love camping, but only if we take our big trailer. We have a tent trailer also, but it seems too small and only has a port-a-potty in it. There's just no privacy. Hubby just can't understand why I don't want to camp in it.

Sportsman's Show Weekend

This weekend we have been taking part in the annual Sportsman's Show at the TRAC facility. We set-up a 15 lane 3-D range for folks to bring their equipment and shoot at. There is also an area for kid's to shoot at balloons and adults to give it a try. It takes about 25-30 people to run it for 3 days and help set-up and tear it down on Sunday evening. It's a lot of hard work and organization, but once it's all set-up we enjoy talking to everyone about archery.

Friday morning we were up at 3:30am to be at the TRAC at 5am for a morning news interview. We had about 5 of us from the club there to participate. Mike was supposed to talk, but he has had such a bad cough that Robert offered to do it. It was 4 or 5 1 minute spots during 2 hours of the show. At the end, we were all shooting while Robert was talking and the even showed us shooting while they were running the credits. It was all live and it kind of made us nervous. After that, we came home and I had to be at work at 8:30 until 12:00. Then I met Mike back at the show just after 1:00pm when it opened.
I have got to see so many of our friends that we would only see at an archery shoot, that it's been fun for me. I love catching up with everyone.

I woke up this morning with a really sore throat and stuffy nose. I think it's due to all the extra talking (any of you that really know me, know that I like to talk a lot normally) and the smoke from the dutch oven cooking in there. One of our club members made us all lunch in his dutch ovens. He made a pork stew and a chocolate/cherry cake. It sure was good and smelled wonderful cooking after the coals died down and weren't smoking anymore. It was a very nice thing to do for the club.

Mike is finally feeling better and getting rid of his sinus infection. The smoke has slowed down his recovery a little bit though.

We finally got some warmer weather yesterday. It got up to 49 and I was told the sun was out melting the snow all day long. We were inside all day. I'll try to post some pictures of the show this week. I did get some taken yesterday.
It was quite busy on Saturday and the building seemed to be full off and on most of the day. I donated some items to the door prizes they give away. I saw one lady that had an orange/yellow fuzzy scarf of mine and she even had on a yellow and black coat. It looked like her color! It's so funny how those things work out. I also gave them some camo beanies. I thought it would help me get my name out there a little bit more.

Well, it's 7am and we have to get ready to go for the last day. It won't be as busy today since the football playoffs are today.

You all have a wonderful and warm Sunday!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY HUBBY!!

Here he is in all his glory! He can now say, that he's 49 and holding!
Right now, he's up at the gun show looking for a new shotgun. Hopefully, he finds one that he wants. We're planning to go to and early family dinner and then he's going over to a friends place to play cards for the evening.

More Holiday Pictures

Above is my nephew. He ended up getting the package I put in our Christmas drawing. I've heard from his mom that the boobie hat is a big hit with his roomates! Our boys were given new duck decoys for hunting in the next picture.

My Dad is holding a gift that my niece was given from my oldes brother. It's an orange hunting vest. She's also a bird hunter. My sister-in-law is having a fun time in the next picture.
Here are my sister's twin boys and a daugter-in-law.

Do you see the cat on the back of the couch? That's actually a stuffed one that Mom found at a yard sale. It looks so much like one of her cats that she had to get it.

Too Cold Here!!

I just got up for the day and it's only 8 outside!!!! Ugh!
That's just way too cold for me.

Here's some Christmas pictures I've been wanting to post for you all. That's one of my nephews in front, a brother in the white and one in the yellow. The gal in the blue is my substitute sister sitting next to my hubby.
In the blue is my sister, 2 of her grandsons and in the back are her daughter and son-in-law on the left. On the right is my brother's son.
This is my Dad and Mom and my brother's daughter in front.
Here we have my youngest son, my great niece, her dad and mom on the couch.

I'll try to post more pictures later.

Busy, Busy

I know it's been too long since I've posted here.
I've been busy with archery and finishing up my Christmas crocheting. I think I'm finally caught up on that. Now I have to work on a baby afghan and some squares for charity and comfortghans.

We are getting ready for our local Outdoor Sportsman's Show on the 19th-21st. It's a pretty big deal for the archery club. We get lots of exposure and hopefully some new members. Then 2 weeks later we have an outdoor 3-D shoot on Superbowl Sunday. It's usually our biggest event every year, believe it or not. We get around 250 shooters for it. They come and shoot early then go home for the game.

My new job is going well. I'm finally feeling like I am getting a handle on the flow of things. Everyone is so nice and I've even seen a couple of folks that I have known for a while and haven't seen in ages.

As for my KC Chiefs, wellllllllll, now I'm really unhappy that they lost the game and are out of the playoffs. Maybe next year will be better. Of course, Andy was thrilled since it was his Colts that beat them! Now we're down to cheering for the Colts and the Seahawks in our household.

Well, I guess it's time to get busy with my crocheting. I've got a lot to work on. I hope everyone has a wonderful week!!
