Another Birthday

Well, my birthday was pretty uneventful, which can be a good thing. The boys made me waffles for breakfast and took me to have pizza for dinner. I just love Hubby's Pizza. The only one I get there is the one with dill pickle, pepperoni and sausage, Yummmmmmmmmy! My mom stopped by to bring me my birthday card and money from her and Dad.

I had lots of email wishes and a few phone calls from family and friends. It was nice to hear from everyone.

The weather guys are predicting rain with the possibility of snow during the nights this week. I'm sure the snow won't be much or last long if we get any.

There is a bow shoot in Zillah this weekend. Mike has to work on Saturday, but maybe the boys and I will go up for the day. It all depends on the weather for me. I don't like shooting my bow in the rain. Since I shoot feathers on my arrows if they get wet, they just don't shoot right. They tend to go farther than I want them to. We'll see what happens.

Happy Monday!

It's Raining, It's Pouring.....

We've been getting rain all day here. I was hoping for a nicer weekend to go walking with the dogs. Oh well. On the bright side, at least it's not snowing.

I joined the kitchen/bath swap at Crochetmania recently and this is what I sent to my swap partner. She received it today so I can post a picture of what I made her. I even sent her a box of peeps! Those who know me locally know that I don't share my peeps with just anyone. My sister and I even fight over them at Easter time.
My co-workers took me out to lunch on Friday for my birthday. Then we went back to the office and cut a cake they had gotten for me. It was a really nice time.

I have a friend, Michelle, that lost one of her twin grandaughters to cancer on Feb. 16th. This has been a very difficult time for her and all of their family and friends. I am keeping you in my thoughts, Dear Friend.

A Work in Progress

I've started getting some of my stuff added to this new blog style.
I am hoping to have it done over the weekend.

It's been raining off and on today. I think it's supposed to do this for a few days. At least it's staying warmer and no snow, so far.

Hey Sis, are you ready for this weekend?? We have no big plans, do you?
(You know I'm testing you to see if you actually read my blog! haha)

I've started a couple of new round ripple afghans this week. I can't wait to get them done. They are really cool looking. I'll have to post pictures later, blogger won't let me load them right now.

Crochet for Sale Items

If you are new to my site and are looking at crochet items, please scroll through the pictures. I can make anything I've got pictures of. I will be posting links to the pictures soon. Since I changed the look of my blog, I'll have to reset them for you.

New Colors!

I'm going to change my blog template. So if you some things are missing, that'll be why. I'll have to work on it later if there's problems.

Wish me luck!

New Blogger

Well, I upgraded to the new blogger. We'll see what happens. My blog looks the same, so far.

The wind has been blowing for 2 days straight now. It rained a little bit today too. There is lots of snow expected in the mountains this week and some down to the 500 ft. level. We are just above 500 ft here. It's late February, it's not supposed to snow. However, if it does, it'll wait until Saturday on my sister's birthday! It wouldn't dare snow on Sunday (my birthday)!

Mike is taking his truck in tomorrow to have an oil leak taken care of. Hopefully, it'll be back home tomorrow night, but we're not holding our breath. The shop he's taking it to has been really good to us with my car this past year.

I think it's time to get to bed. I've got to set the VCR to tape Boston Legal and then I'm out for the night.

Until tomorrow morning.

Daytona 500

Well, I'm kind of bummed today. We were watching the Daytona 500 and Greg Biffle was in 2nd near the end, behind Mark Martin. In the last lap, just before the final turn, Kevin Harvick came along the side of them. There was a major accident behind Martin and Harvick, that took out Biffle and several other drivers. It was an eventful race to say the least. Biffle came in 25th. I was so hoping he would at least come in 2nd. On to California for next week's race.

It was so warm here Saturday, about 65. The sun was shining and no wind. Saturday night, the wind kicked in and it's still blowing tonight. It was sunny, but a bit cooler due to the wind.

We went to breakfast with Mike's sister who was in town for the night. We hadn't seen her in quite a while.

Tomorrow is a day off for the boys and I. Mike has to work. We'll run a few errands and I'm sure they'll try to talk me into going to the game store or video store.

You all have great week!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Valentine's Day!

The weather is warming up a bit. It feels more like spring almost every day.

The Daytona Gatorade Duel races are tomorrow. I hope that my man Biffle can stay away from the mess that has came about this week. All kinds of fines and crew chiefs suspended, etc. It really looks ugly to me.

Work has been quiet this week. The other ladies in my office were at a training in Seattle for 3 days. I was able to keep busy until this morning. Then I was able to start a new book. I also had my CD player and listened to my music.

I think that's about it for now.

You all have a wonderful rest of the week!

It's DAYTONA 500 Week!! Finally!!

Here's a few new things I've been selling.
A sock monkey purse. Sock Monkey cell phone or I-Pod cozies.

Sock Monkey Hats.

I've got a few of these on order and have sold a couple too!
They are really cute!

I'm so ready for NASCAR again! I've been waiting for this week. The Bud Shootout is tonight to kick it all off. The 500 is next weekend. I have a crochet buddy that is going to the Busch race on Saturday. Her hubby's boss gave them tickets. How fun is that?? Someday, we'll go to a big race too. It's on our list of places to go.

We survied the archery shoot last weekend. Mike and the boys went to Hermiston this morning to shoot at another tournament. I was really looking forward to going too, but I think I have a touch of that flu or something. I'm coughing a bit and my stomach was really hurting last night. I thought it best to stay home out of the cold air.

Well, our weather has finally warmed up a little bit. It's been above freezing now for about 4 days! WooHoo! It feels like spring is just around the corner now. I don't know for sure why it is, but 40 in February feels a lot warmer than 40 in October. I love the spring, it's my favorite season.

The dogs are really loving this warmer weather. Sadee just runs and runs around the yard and KC doesn't bark to come back in right away. We have been getting some rain, but I guess we need it. I wish I felt better today, because I'd take them for a walk while it's not raining. We're expecting more tonight and tomorrow.

Hey, Sis! Have you noticed that the days are getting longer?

You all have a wonderful weekend!

Sportsman's Show Pictures

Here are some kids waiting in line to shoot.
There were times that we had 3 kids shooting at one time.
This is the entry to the shooting range.
This is our club booth.
I think this one is the same as the one above. I can't delete it without starting all over again, so it's in here twice.

Here is a group of our friends getting ready to shoot.

Archery and the Superbowl

GO COLTS!!!!

This is the first year in a long time that all 4 of us will be cheering for the same team, the Indianapolis Colts. Forget da'Bears!

Well, Superbowl Sunday is tomorrow and we have an archery shoot the club is putting on. It's gotten to 28 degrees today and has been raining and hailing all afternoon. If this keeps up, it'll be us having a snowball shoot, not the Hermiston club (next week). In recent years, we've had over 250 shooters coming from all over to shoot our courses. Hopefully, the weather will not deter them from coming.

We have to be there by 6:30am to get setup for registration and breakfast. Last year, there were about 20 guys waiting by then to sign in. We open at 7:00am, but if we can be ready sooner, we may sign in folks early. The earlier they can get done shooting, the sooner they turn in score cards and the afternoon stuff can be done.

I'll be taping the Superbowl events while we're gone. We should be home by the end of the 1st quarter or sooner, if all goes well.

Two weeks ago we had the sportsman's show, which is a 3 day event. We setup a 15 lane shooting range and talk to all the interested folks that come by. It is a lot of work and it takes 20-30 people to help out. I do enjoy being there and seeing everyone. There were a lot of folks that showed up to shoot or just go to the show that we hadn't seen a months.

I'll post some pictures of it on another post.
