GO KANSAS CITY CHIEFS!!

My Chiefs made it to the playoffs! WooHoo!!!

I'm a happy person today!

The Chiefs and the Seahawks both play on Saturday in game 1. We'll see if they can make it to the 2nd game.

My mom called me and said that one of my cousin's got married and they will be in town tomorrow. He lives in Chicago, I think. That's where he was last time I saw him anyway. His sister and her husband will also be here and we haven't seen them for a year or so either. They are actually children of a first cousin of mine. We're all going to meet for dinner to visit and congratulate them. It should be fun to see everyone again.

I think we're heading down to Hermiston tomorrow also to pick up a couple of dressers for the boys. There's a place that has some really nice handmade ones for cheap. It's only a 25 mile drive, so it's not very far.

Well, Everyone, have a wonderful New Year's Night!
2007 is almost here and it might already be here if you're out of the U.S. today.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I'd like to wish you all a very happy and fun New Year!
We have no plans, probably just stay home with some munchies and fall asleep before midnight.

Be safe and enjoy 2007, Everyone!

We had a wonderful Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve at my folk's house with all of my side of the family. Everyone had a wonderful time and got spoiled rotten.

Christmas morning we were up early and opened our gifts. We were all spoiled rotten too. Mike was very surprised to open his NFL jersey and the Nascar items we got for him. The boys were shocked to get some new duck decoys and they each got a new shotgun for bird hunting. They just can't wait to use them this weekend. I got some new clothes, boots, a new car, and a crochet book I wanted. I'll try to post pictures this weekend.

I've been sick this week and with starting the new job and selling so many pillows this month, I'm really behind with things. For those of you that normally receive a Christmas card....., they will be in the mail by Monday. I'm sorry they are so late. I hope you all understand.

Love to you all!

My Week

I've made it through my first week at the new job. WooHoo!! That first week is always the worst. I think things are starting to make sense. I found out that I went to school with my supervisor but didn't know her in school. She was a year ahead of me. We do have mutual friends though. It's such a small town.

I'm really behind on my Christmas cards, folks. I've been selling boobie pillows like crazy and finally had to cut everyone off until after Christmas. I'm taking orders, but not shipping until the following week.

I've also got to work on getting flyers out for the archery club this week. I'm going to try to get the labels printed and have the flyers copied today. Mike and the boys can do the folding, stamping and mailing this week for me.

The boys and I sat down yesterday and ordered some things for Mike. He will be really surprised with what he's getting. We still have to go to finish our shopping for the boys though. We'll go 1 or 2 nights after work to do that. I hate shopping on the weekends! It's way too crazy this time of year, especially.

It's gotten cold here again! Down to 20 during the night. We might even have snow this week. That would be wierd, actually having snow on Christmas. I'm so hoping that Spring will be here sooner, since we're having such cold weather this early in the season. Keep a good thought on that, okay?

The kids are out of school for winter break on Wed. morning. I'm sure they are looking forward to it, plus having Mike and I at work. They'll get some time to themselves. I think I'll have to stock up on food, because all their friends seem to appear during these times too.

Well, that's about it for my week. Maybe I'll even get to post on here during the week this time.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!
Stay safe, warm and happy!

NEW JOB

I've gone and got me a new job. I start on Monday. It's at Head Start in the finance office. I'm a little excited to get the first day over. I'll be working 30 hours a week and in the summer they close for 8 weeks. The hours are wonderful. Andy does a lot of sports and I'll still be able to make his games.

The bazaar was a little slow last weekend. There just wasn't a lot of foot traffic. I did sell a few things and took orders for some too. I've sold quite a bit on-line. It's keeping me really busy! I enjoy it though or I wouldn't do what I do.

Mike and the boys are out bird hunting this morning. It's way too cold for me. We're supposed to get freezing rain today. I'd like to go to a couple bazaars, but I'm not sure I want to chance getting stuck in the weather.

There's really not much more to say today, but it's early yet.

Have a wonderful weekend all!

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Do you all remember me talking about my cousin's son, Jereme that was in the bad accident in September? He and his family were at Dad's birthday party Sunday. He is doing so good. The picture below is his 2 little girls. This is the cake my sister made for Dad. It says "Still a Kid to Me" on it. Isn't it cute?

This is Jereme. He is doing so good. He has lots of scars and still has a lot of therapy and things to be fixed. He's a very lucky man!

It's 18 degrees right now at noon! With snow flurries! What's with this weather? I'm hoping that this means that Spring will be here sooner than normal, since we're having really cold weather now. Keep a happy thought!

I went on a job interview this morning and really would like this job. I think it would be just want I'm looking for. That's all I'm going to say about it right now, so I don't jinx it.

I hope you all are staying warm wherever you are!

Here's the SNOW

Here's pictures of the snow we got yesterday.
It was about 2 inches or so. Today it's mostly melted, but
we're expecting more this week.
Yes, this is a frozen turkey. Actually, it's a frozen turkey archery target.
We used it a couple of weeks ago at our Turkey Shoot.

Thanksgiving Goose

I forgot to post my Thanksgiving Goose last week.
So here it is:

IT'S SNOWING!

Well, this is the earliest snow we've had in years!
It's even sticking and looking at the radar, we're goint to get it for a day or two.
I'm really not ready for this.

The family is all meeting at Dad and Mom's for Dad's birthday party this afternoon. I hope that the roads aren't too bad. We only live about 2 miles away, but we have to go down a steep hill to get there. Knowing the city, they won't sand the roads until early tomorrow morning, before school starts, if we get that much snow today.

Kamiakin lost the game yesterday. It was a tough one. About 3 boys went out with bad leg injuries. The season is over for them. It was disappointing and the team they played was quite rude! They brought their band here and when our 1st boy was injured on the ground for about 10 minutes, they played music and yelled cheers! Talk about bad sportsmanship. They were the worst team for attitude that we've played all season, I think.

Mike and the boys went to see the new James Bond movie Saturday. They said is was really good. I'll wait until it comes out on video. I'm not a big movie goer. I'd rather be able to pause it when I need to or play back parts when I want.

Happy Sunday!!

HAPPY 90TH BIRTHDAY, DAD!!

Today is my Dad's 90th birthday!

We love you, Dad!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

We were at my Mom and Dad's house with family. It was a very nice day. We've gotten to where we have an early dinner and we can visit or play games until we feel the need to go home. That way the day isn't quite so long for everyone, and if others have to be at other dinners they can make it without too much chaos.

A very close friend of mine called me yesterday morning to tell me that her daughter had her first baby. She had a boy. I hope you are all sitting down before I give you the weight of the little (not exactly) boy........

10 lbs, 14 ozs and 22" long!!!

Karen said he's doing fine and he's riding a bike down the hall!! haha
Kimmie, the mother, had to have a c-section. She's doing okay though. I have to call them and see how they are today. Karen's hubby had surgery last week and is doing well, but still in the hospital too. I hope you both have a speedy recovery and that I get to come visit you all soon. They live out of town. I really miss them all too. Hey Auntie Shanna! You know the Aunt's job is to spoil those nephews rotten too. Just call me if you need an ideas on that.
I can't wait to see pictures of the baby.

The wind has been blowing here non-stop for a couple of days now. I do not sleep good when it blows like it has been. I think I was so exhausted last night from not sleeping the night before that I got caught up.

Mike and Andy got home from hunting on Wed. They did not get anything but snow and some dogs that got into a cooler and stole some food. Last time it was cows and this time it's dogs. I think it's time for some new hunting spots. What do you all think??

Our high school football team is down the the final 4 tomorrow. If they can win this game, they will play for the state tournament. This is really exciting. They have had 7 shutouts and only lost 1 game all season! Go Braves!!

On Dec. 2nd, I'm going to be set up at Eastgate school for a bazaar all day. I hope that I can sell a lot of my things. I'm trying to make up some more kid items since it's so close to Christmas. If you're in the area, please come and check out the bazaar.

The 2nd is also Mike's company Christmas party. They always give a room for the night also. It keeps them from having any drunken drivers. There is usually about 400 people there and you never know what will happen. In year's past I have made up something special for the 2 bosses and it is given to them during the party. One year was a boobie pillow and last year everything was in a brown paper bag. Embarassing things to say the least. This year, Mike wants me to give their wives something nice. Nothing embarassing though.

I'm pretty happy with my sports teams this week. The Chiefs beat those broncos yesterday and Greg Biffle won the last NASCAR race of the season! He's won the past 3 final races! I'd have to say that Homestead, FL is his track. Now if Kamiakin can win, it'll be a complete week in my sports world!

Well, I guess that's about it for now. I'm sure I'll have more to write tomorrow.
I have a special post to make tomorrow for someone, so check back!

Archery Turkey Shoot

Last night was our club's annual Turkey Shoot and Swap Meet. We had Pat's famous chili dogs and lots of conversation with folks. It was fun to see people that we hadn't seen in quite some time. I didn't even get my bow out to shoot.

Since it was a swap meet, I took a couple of boxes of my crocheted stuff to sell. I did really well! I was very happy with the sales I made. People are starting to think about Christmas which is a good thing. I might even get some other orders from folks that took my card and will get with me later.

Our club has a bit of a problem this year. The fairgrounds has taken away our building that we have rented out every winter for several years. They are using it for people to keep their boats in out of the weather! We're not very happy about it. They didn't even call us, they informed our secretary when she called to give them the dates of our shoots! How bad is that?? They have said that we can use another building, but it's 4 times the price per night and we'd have to move all our shooting boxes and the backdrop net out every night that we use it!!! If anyone in our area knows of an empty building, barn, or warehouse with electricity that we could rent and leave our things set-up, please let me know. This means that we can not do any state tournaments for the winter or have our fun night.

Mike and Andy are off to the snowy mountains tomorrow for late season hunting. It opens on Monday. They'll be home on Thursday for Thanksgiving. Hopefully, they get a deer or elk this trip.

Tyke and I will hang out here at home where it's warm with the dogs. Tyke has been invited to go the the Apple Cup in Pullman tomorrow with one of our archery guys. He is torn, because tomorrow is his school's playoff game. If they win this one, they will play next week and then play in the state tournament. He really wants to see his school play because he knows so many of the players. However, to go see his UW Huskies play would be really fun for him. The other guy is a diehard WSU fan which would make it really interesting for them.

There's a couple of bazaars today that my sister and I are going to this afternoon. She is busy tomorrow so we'll hit them today. It should be fun.

Have a great weekend!!

HTML Help??

Does anyone have any ideas to get rid of the dark blue color on the section down below here?

I'm stumped and frustrated.

I added the new background and then that showed up.

Software Problems!! Ugh!!

Well, Etsy stores are back up, but running very slow.
If you get in there, just have some patience. It's actually
driving me nuts today.

And on top of that, I upgraded to IE 7 last night and things
are different on my screen. I'm going crazy today with all
these changes.

Weird Problems

I downloaded the new Version 7 of IE and now some of my things are wonky.
I'm going to leave it as is for now and maybe tomorrow I'll work on it. I may end up changing my whole background to get it right. So don't be surprised if it looks different soon.

Etsy.com

Well, if anyone was wanting to check out my store this weekend, Etsy.com is down for an upgrade. They say it will be back up on Monday. I've added some more scarves and will be adding some willy warmers on Monday, hopefully.

If there is ever anything you would like for me to make in special colors, please ask. Christmas is coming and you can get some of your holiday shopping done early. Remember the sooner I can ship something the better chance you'll have of getting it before Christmas.

A Fun Shopping Day with Mom

Mom called me this morning and wanted to drive down to Hermiston and do some shopping. For those of you that don't know where Hermiston is, it is about 30 miles South of where we are in Oregon. Well in Oregon there is no sales tax. Here it is 8.3%. They have a Walmart, Bimart and other such stores. We also went to a couple of thrift stores while we were there. We stopped at a Chinese restaurant that Mom and Dad usually go to and came home. Dad just didn't feel like going today, so Mom called me. We had a really fun day. Of course I had to buy some more yarn. (Oops!! did I say that out loud? Hubby might hear me.) Big Lots had some of the fancy yarns for $1, so how could I resist?

I also picked up a sweatshirt for a $1 at one of the thrift stores.

Andy is feeling better and went back to school on Monday. He goes back to the doctor on Friday for a follow -up on his strep and mono. Hopefully, the doctor will release him for sports now. It's driving him nuts not being able to run or play sports when he feels better now.

Mike got off work early today and talked me into going to Costco. He's starting to stock up on items for the next hunting trip which he leaves for in a week. It wasn't too busy today. Usually, I get in there and you can't hardly move your cart around there are so many people. Then you get to the cash register and wait in line behind 5 or more folks. It's not that they don't have enough cashiers, it's just always that busy.

There are a couple of bazaars that start on friday this weekend. I'll just have to go and get more ideas, like I need any help in that area of my brain!

Next week we are having our annual archery club turkey shoot and swap meet. It's usually a fun night. We are having a problem with having an indoor place to shoot this winter. Where we have been shooting for several years is not available to us any longer. We are using a different building for the turkey shoot and it is costing us a bundle for one night. We really need a place of our own so we don't have to rely on others to keep things up. Last year there were problems with the heat, no tables or chairs and the pipes were broken one night which caused a flood inside the building.

Well, that's about it for now.

You all have a wonderful weekend, if I don't hear from you before then!

Add one more to the contact list this week...

And today I got an email from a long lost Uncle!
It was so good to hear from him. I do hope that we can stay in touch. Do you hear me Uncle Buck? I love hearing from you too!

Our Week

This week has not been boring at all.

Andy came down sick Sunday night and woke up with sore throat and swollen tonsils on Monday. I took him to the doctor and they did some bloodwork on him. We found out that he has strep and mononucleosis. Nasty stuff! I did not know that with mono, it makes the spleen enlarge 2-3 times it's normal size. He can not play any sports until he's better. He had not eaten any solid food since Sunday until Wed. night. He ate some noodles. He is still not talking much, but I think he'll be a little better in a couple more days.

My nephews played in their Grid Kid's Superbowl last night. It was really cold out also. Mike and Tyke went to watch the game. THEY WON!!! Their team went undefeated this season. How cool is that??

There must have been something in the air yesterday. I got an email from one of my cousins who I haven't seen or heard from in many years. She lives in Vermont. Last night Mike's brother called who we only hear from about twice a year. They live in North Dakota and are planning a trip to Wenatchee in April and May. Hopefully, we take a few days to spend with he and his wife. Mom also got an email from my oldest brother that he'll be driving up here from California today. He should be here late tomorrow.

I hope that all of you are having a wonderful week!

Our Bedspread

I made this afghan several years ago. I made popcorns to make our names. Then I had to sew some thick thread around each one to make them show up better. I don't really remember how long it took me to make it, but it is a king size.

Halloween Party

I'm going to try this again. I had problems with it yesterday.

We went to a Halloween party on Saturday night. It was a lot of fun. We got to see some friends that we only see once or twice a year.

Our costumes were quite unique. If you are easily offended, please do not click on the link below.

If you would like to see them, feel free to click here or email me and I will send you a picture. Do not open it around kids or at work though. It's a little bit naughty.

I hope it works this time.

It's a cutie!

Saturday's News

I realized that I hadn't posted my Halloween Goose yet, so here she is. Isn't she pretty?
Well, Andy has been sick this week with some kind of bug. He went to school on Wednesday and played in the last soccer game, came home and pretty much collapsed for the next 2 days. He had a fever and just felt crummy. I think he's just a run down. He should be great by Monday though.

I went to a couple of bazaars today with my sis. We also stopped at some yard sales (of course). We are planning to go to the Kamiakin football game tonight. They are playing for 1st place in their division. It should be a good game.

Over and the 'Mania, I'm part of a Holiday Secret Pal Swap. I've been working on several items for my secret pal. I hope she'll like everything. I keep picking up things when I'm out shopping that I think she'll like. I'm trying to finish up a couple more things and then I can send out her package.

Monday, my sister and I are taking Mom to Spokane for a medical test. If they find any blockages they will put in stints at that time. This is not for her heart though, it's somewhere else. I forget where. We have to leave town around 6:00am and will be staying the night there, near the hospital so if she has any problems, we'll be close by. We're hoping that this will fix her high blood pressure problems.

My nephews that play Grid Kids football are undefeated! WooHoo! Congratulations boys! Alek even made his first touchdown today. They have a playoff game next Saturday and if they win that, they will be in the Superbowl a few days later. I'm sure they'll be there. They get to play in the high school stadium, which is really cool for those little guys.

My niece, that is 12, went deer hunting with her dad yesterday and got her first deer, on her first day out! Way to go Ashley!

Well, that about sums up our week.

Have a wonderful day folks!

My 1st Bazaar

Well, Andy and I set up a table at a bazaar yesterday for the 1st time. It was only a 1/2 day and there weren't a lot of folks out and about shopping yet, but we did sell a few things. Do you all remember that big rainbow snake I made this summer? I sold him to a little guy about the age of 4. His grandma bought it for him. I'm sure he was curled up with it last night in bed too! The cradle purses and small bags seemed to go over well too. I need to make more up in pinks and use more fun fur. Those were the eye catchers. One gal wants some furry scarves for gifts too. I'm going to make up some hats that are more girly too. At least I've got some more creative ideas now and will see what sells at the next one. Cell phone pouches and doggie sweaters were another request I had. I think I'll make up small amounts of these items and see how they go over. The holiday items got a lot of comments, but nothing sold.

Mike and Tyke went duck hunting yesterday. They went with a friend, took his dog and our Sadee. The shot 11 ducks all together. This was Sadee's first time out actually retrieving ducks. She was all for it until one flapped in her mouth and she got very freaked out! I guess she went running back to the blind without it. Mike did finally get her to play with it a bit though. Of course, with the other dog there, she got very protective of the dead ones. Apparently, she was growling when the other dog sat next to them. Then the other dog grabbed a long stick and wanted to play. They each had an end and were playing tug o war with it. Mike said that Sadee won. I think the other dog probably let her have it since Sadee is the pup. They went back out this morning with Andy too to hunt some more.

Tyke has a big bruise on his right armpit from shooting the gun and holding it wrong. He was hoping he could pad it enough to shoot today too. He's really proud of his wounds! His buddy came over last night and he was showing it off. Kyle always has bruises from playing football at school. It's really good to see Tyke so into something outdoors. He's more of the video game/computer geek.

Andy missed going Saturday and was quite bored at the bazaar. I really did appreciate his help though, with it being my first try at it. The next one will be easier for me to do alone. Unless, anyone wants to spend the day with me helping out. Maybe, a lunch break would be good. Any takers???

It's raining this morning and the wind just started blowing too. It's been so nice and calm lately, even warm outside. I really don't like the winter, but the sooner it gets here and goes, then SPRING will be back. My favorite time of the year.

You all have a wonderful Sunday, ya hear!

Soccer

Our younger son plays soccer for his school. They had a game yesterday and I actually remembered to bring the camera. This is him in the center of the picture above. He is number 30 in the pictures below.
As you can see, he's the tallest one on the team.
Unfortunately, they did not win. The referee was not making many calls on either team. There was a lot of pushing and lots of off-sides that should have been called, but weren't. It wasn't a very controlled game at all. Even the kids and coaches were complaining, so you know it had to be bad.

Mania Holiday Secret Pal Package Here!

I was so excited to open this package from my Secret Pal at Crochetmania. She really spoiled me big time! I love the Kansas City Chiefs! Here I am wearing the shirt she sent me and all the new pink camouflage yarn and 3 new hooks! WOW!!!! Without knowing that my secret pal was Miranda, we were on chat the other night and I had asked that anyone who had access to this yarn, if they would pick it up and I'd pay them for it. Well, she sent it in my surprise package. I'm so thrilled with it! I've already started a hat, just so I can see how it works up.
I know I've already thanked you, but thank you again! It really made my day.

Cookie Monster Scarf

Isn't this just the cutest scarf! I think I'll need to make one a little shorter though. It's pretty long for a young child to use.

I used Scribbles paint for the chocolate chips.
The pattern can be found here: http://yarngrrrl.livejournal.com/30600.html#cutid1

Candy Corn Poncho

I made this Candy Corn Poncho and Hat this week.

Jereme is Home

My cousin's son, Jereme, got home on Sunday from the hospital in Seattle. WooHoo!! We are all really happy about that. He still has a long road, but he's now home and I'm sure his girls are very happy to have him back.

Well, it's a typical fall day here. Cloudy with 30% chance of rain for the next couple of days. It might be time to put the shorts away and get out the jeans and sweatpants now.

I'm doing my first bazaar on the 14th. It's only a 1/2 day one, but it should get my feet wet. I'm planning to take 2 or 3 of everything I can so that I can see what sells the best. I may even have some more out in the car, just in case. Wish me luck!

Tyke was at a friend's house last night and he tripped on the stairs of their balcony. He thinks he may have broken his big toe. He's not in sports or anything like that so I don't think he needs an xray, now anyway. If it gets too bad, I'll make him wear the boot I wore when I broke my foot 2 years ago.

I have to go to Michael's today and use another coupon. I'm trying to buy some 12" stuffed animals for a project I want to sell. I'm collecting the coupons and going in there every day. I also found some cute Christmas ornaments that I may get for the boys this year. Every year I buy them each one that reflects an interest or something that happened this past year. Sometimes I go unti the end of bazaar season before I get them any. I think I found the right ones already. They aren't handmade, but very cute.

I guess that's it for now. You all have a great week and be sure to email me or leave comments, anytime. I love to hear from you all!

Mike's Fishing Trip

Mike and Scot went fishing yesterday. Lookie what they caught....... It was a very good day fishing. Guess what's for dinner tonight??

Grid Kids Football

My great-nephews, Austin and Alek play football for the Colts on the 'C' team. This is a city league. They play games on Saturdays. Their team is undeafeated so far. They even have playoffs and the top 2 teams for the A, B, C and D divisions play in the Superbowl. This is played in the high school stadium here. My oldest son also played for 2 years for the Colts. They played in the Superbowl his first year. Austin is #15 and Alek is #17, if you can see them in the pictures I posted. Here we are getting ready to leave after the game. They won 25-0.

#22 here, is the grandson of Mike and Rick's boss.

A Nice Fall Day

Today is supposed to be 85 and tomorrow we start dropping again down in the 70's. It's been really nice here.

We went to the Kamiakin High School football game last night. They played Sunnyside and we won 62-0. It was a little one sided to say the least. Sunnyside would get a good run going and then we'd intercept, block the kick or just do something to get the ball back. It was pretty warm during the game. Last week we got cold and had our coats on by halftime.

I really haven't been doing much except crocheting and trying to keep up with the boys and the teachers. Tyke is still coughing, but all in all he is feeling better. He even went to the game last night. Andy has been playing soccer. They had 2 games this week and lost them both. This year he is playing several positions, from goalie to forward and everything in between. He was using some pretty impressive footwork in the last game. We didn't know he could do that! He's really enjoying it.

Mike went fishing this morning with Scot. I hope they are successful. It would be nice to have some fresh fish to eat.

Sadee came in heat last weekend. One week down and 2 more to go. We've got to get her fixed. I'm not going through this again with her. She has been the most whiney dog we've ever had. She hates being in the dog kennel when we leave. We're afraid some male dog will jump the back fence and get to her while we're away. She had to go in there last night and I think she was actually swearing at me. She was so mad!

I've had a couple of job interviews lately also. I'm kind of glad they didn't call me back. I really didn't want them anyway. I'll keep looking and the right one will come along.
I guess that's all for now.

Sunday, September 24th

Hi All!

We got good news about Jereme, my cousin's son. He was sitting in a chair Friday. They are doing a surgery on Monday and he may possibly be back in town by the weekend! We're not sure if they are planning on him being in a hospital or a rehab center though. We should know more this week. He has a very long road ahead, but he is alive and doing much better.

Mike, Andy and their friend Scot went out duck hunting yesterday for the youth weekend. Andy was the only one that could hunt. They also took Sadie to see how she would do around the gun. She didn't even flinch when Andy shot! Mike was so happy. She did really well. The only problem was that she wanted to be out in the water while they were putting out the decoys and kept getting in the way. I'm sure she'll learn. This was only Andy's 2nd time bird hunting in 3 seasons. He didn't kill any, but did get some tail feathers on one that kept flying way. Tyke really wanted to go, but he's considered an adult now and he's had that bad cold. Sadie was so tired yesterday. We think she's a little stiff and sore too from all the swimming she did get to do.

The weather here has been beautiful this weekend. 70ish and sunny. I sure am going to miss these nice days when winter finally moves in. They are saying that we are supposed to have cold and snow this winter. According to the Almanac, anyway. We'll see.

Scarves

Here are some holiday scarves I make up this past week. The pattern came from my Annie's Scrap Crochet this month. I thought it was a cute pattern and just had to try it out. They work up pretty quickly and might sell well at bazaars, but I don't know for sure.

TV Shows New Season

I just saw that Boston Legal is back on tonight!! Woohoo! We love that show.
Sunday is Desperate Housewives and soon Lost will be on again too. I can hardly wait for them all. We were really into Invasion and Commander and Chief too but they cancelled them.

I've finally got my Christmas cards designed and have started on the first set. I've got a lot to print off yet though. I made them with seahorses and seadragons this year.

We're having some clouds and it smells like it's going to rain soon. The weatherman said last night that we are about 10 degrees below normal this week. Last week it was in the 90's and this week, maybe 70, if we're lucky. I guess fall is in the air.

Elk Hunting Camp

If you look really close, you can see the
sunset in the tree picture. Uncle Tim and Andy doing homework.

A picture of a cow elk and a 2 point bull.
They saw these 2 days before elk season opened.

Here's camp after they took down the wall tent after the cows pooped in it and broke things. They all slept in the tent trailer then.

Elk Camp and Moo Cows Don't Mix....

While the men were out hunting the mighty Elk, they had some visitors. At first, it appeared that someone had ramsacked their camp. As you can see in these pictures, things were knocked off tables, broken and moved around. After closer inspection, they noticed the culprits left behind some evidence. In the last picture is a pile of cow poop! At least one pushed open the tied door to the wall tent and left that present. It stepped on a cot and broke it amongst other things. What a mess!!
