HAPPY NEW YEAR, 2008!

I can not believe it's 2008 already! How did that happen?

As many of you have already noticed, we did not get our traditional Christmas cards done this year. I've been so busy with crochet orders that I did not even get them designed. Mike says that we'll get them out in June, but maybe sooner. haha I really will get them sent out some time, just not for Christmas this year.

I'm trying to get well again. Tyke came down the a cold/cough and is still coughing. I had the cold/flu combo and am still coughing. It's been really awful. One of these days we're going to wake up and not start coughing.

Mike is going bird hunting in the morning. KC hates it when they get the equipment out. It really freaks her out. She's laying under my computer chair at the moment. She just knows I'll protect her from the big bad duck calls and guns.

The weather here has been ok. We've had sun the past couple of days, but not too warm.

Christmas was fun. We were all at Mom and Dad's again. Most everyone was there except one niece and her husband. They were at his family this year. They were here a couple of weeks ago to see everyone though. My substitute sister (my sister's best friend since school) was there with a friend. They brought us a bunch of Alaska King Crab legs! It was awesome! That's a treat we don't get very often here. It was sooooooooooo good!

We expect a quiet New Year's Eve.

I hope everyone out there reading this has a wonderful and safe New Year's!

My Nutty Son

KaHS had their Sadie Hawkins dance last week. I can remember when we just asked the boy to go and he said 'yes' or 'no'. Well, not anymore!

Andy's girlfriend had this elaborate way of asking him to go. The theme was Super Heroes for the dance. She decided they would go wearing Superman shirts. She wrote a question in the snow at the school across the street and then asked him to be her Superman at Super Sadie Hawkins. How cute was that?

Of course, he couldn't just say yes. He had to come up with something good to answer her with. So this is what he came up with, with some input from all of us.
They went and had a fun time!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful and safe Christmas and New Year's 2008!

It has been a month since my last post and I'm sorry about that. I've been so busy with sales orders this month. I think I over extended myself this year. I came down sick with the cold/flu illness this past week. I'm now coughing and trying to get enough energy to finish my Christmas and food shopping today. In fact, Mike and Andy just put the tree up yesterday for us. The lights are on and the ornaments still need to be put on it.

I got a nice phone call from my gf K yesterday. She was headed to her SIL's for Christmas. They are hoping to transfer back here next year some time. I really hope so. I miss them all so much!

We had a few snowflakes come down yesterday. It's still possible that we could have a white Christmas.
It's plenty cold enough anyway!

Thanksgiving

I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving this week! We spent the day at my Mom and Dad's house with most of the family. It was a fun and hectic day.

I've been so busy making up things that I've got orders for, I haven't had much time for anything else. My sister and I did take last Saturday to go bazaaring and ended the day at Hubby's Pizza eating our favorite dill pickle pizza. It was so yummy!

One of the gal's I work with just returned from China with her sister and a new niece that her sister adopted there. It was quite the experience for them. They were there 2 weeks and got to see some of the tourist places too. She has some great stories to tell everyone. Her niece is 3 1/2 and a cutie.

I have 2 more weeks of 40 hours a week to work until the gal comes back that is on medical leave. It's been interesting trying to keep up with all my crochet orders while working full time.

Mike just left for the Tucannon to deer hunt. He and his BIL rented a trailer up there so they didn't have to tow any trailers or take a wall tent this time. Hopefully, they'll come back with meat in their coolers! They boys stayed home this time. Andy has the broken collar bone still and Tyke missed some school due to a sinus infection he had recently. They need to catch up on school work.

Andy is healing up pretty well. He thinks he can go everywhere without his arm sling, but I think he needs to wear it for a while more so that people aren't bumping into him. All he needs is to pop those bones out again and he will be in surgery for it.

Tomorrow we are going to my folks' again for my dad's 91st birthday. We're having taco salad, taco soup and whatever else gets brought over. It'll be a houseful, I'm sure.

Well, that about catches me up for now. I'll write more when I can.

Football + Teenage Boys =

Emergency Room!

The boys were all playing football across the street at the school and Andy broke his collar bone! He's been in some pain, but the meds. seem to be helping him sleep for now. He's in some funky strap thing that he has to wear all the time for 2 weeks. He can't do anything for 4 weeks, which rules out late hunting season in 2 weeks.

We're helping to host an archery shoot Sunday and the weather turned bad on us. It's windy and rainy today. It's going to be a cold football game this afternoon. We've had such nice weather lately that this is really depressing.

I just wanted to update you all on our little corner of the world.

Have a good holiday weekend!

I'm Here, Just Busy

It's been a while since I've posted anything here. Things have been very busy.

Andy's team was undefeated, as was the JV and varsity teams. The varsity is the #1 seed in the playoffs for the state championship. They are ranked in the AP poll as #3 in the state this week. That's pretty awesome!

We had the first playoff game today against Hanford. They are a local team. The score was 45-10 and we won! Hanford is now done. We are playing Southridge next week. They are another local team.

The booster club has been selling lots of my stuff. I've got to make up some more things for next week's game.

I've got a few boobie pillow orders to fill soon. People are starting to think about Christmas gifts now.

For those of you that have been receiving my handmade cards for years, this year may be different. I have not had time to work on even the designing of them. I will try to send out a letter, but as Mike is telling everyone,"Don't expect cards until June." I hate to stop making them, but this year is just not working for me. Maybe after the holidays I can work on 2007 and 2008 ones and send them all out at once.

My sister and I went bazaar jumping last night and today. It was fun to get out and see the new ideas out there. I also gave out a few of my business cards. I didn't buy much but I won the cutest quilted turkey wall hanging for a raffle ticket I bought. I'll try to take a picture of it and post it for you to see.

Well, I'm going to go crochet some more boobies, so I can ship some out this week. You all take care and drop me a comment once in a while.

It's Sunday Already

Sunday sure got here fast! Friday night we went to Andy's football game in Yakima and stayed for the varsity game too. Andy's team won 48-8 and the varsity won 52-0. It was very cold up there. I'm not ready for winter at all! We got home around 11:30pm. It sure made for a long day for us.

Next week, we are going to Wenatchee for Andy's last game. The varsity is also playing after the freshman again. It'll be the last regular season game, then the playoffs will start. Our varsity team has clinched the #1 seed in the playoffs, which means that they not only have the best record, but they will have the home field advantage for all the games. So I'd better get my fingers busy making up some more stuff for the booster club to sell.

I'm working on finishing up some pillows and need some more stuffing. Yesterday, I went to our local Walmart (that recently remodeled) and they did not have the stuffing I needed or some other things that were on my list. It really aggravates me that they can't stock the same items the other stores have. Now I'll have to run over to Richland or Pasco to get my stuffing and my pillows won't be done today. I was hoping to ship them all out. I'm hoping that the new Super Target will have yarn and a decent crafts dept. to give Walmart something to think about. I'm not holding my breath though.

Kamiakin Homecoming Dance

Here's our youngest son, Andy and his girlfriend, Jessica all dressed up for the dance tonight. Don't they look so good!

This is their first formal dance. They were both so nervous getting ready. I had to help Andy button his shirt his hands were shaking so bad. They met some friends for an Italian dinner and we picked them up to go to the dance. They were laughing and having a great time then. The dance is over about 11:00 and we'll pick them up then.

I've been so Busy...

I've been busy with everything lately!

At work, I've been learning a new job and training someone temporary for mine. I start 40 hours a week on Monday. It's only for about 8 weeks, so I should be able to handle it.

We've had football, football, football and my crochet orders have been keeping me very busy. And that's a good thing!

We are going to Sunnyside for Andy's game on Thursday. They are still undefeated and doing good.

The booster club has been selling some of my crochet items at the games. It's so fun to see people wearing my stuff in the stands.

The weather is cooling off quite a bit at night, but the days are still nice.

Mike and Andy are going deer hunting on Friday night to the Tucannon area for the weekend. I sure hope they bring home some meat for the freezer. That would be so good to have.

To all my crochet buddies out there, I'm working on things. I was hoping to be able to post some pictures for you, but maybe this weekend.

Have some great days and I'll post when I can!

Football and Crochet

Andy had a football game yesterday and they won 40-0! WooHoo!
Their team is doing a lot better. He even got to play a lot more during this game. The varsity team also won with a shutout, again. That is 3 in a row.

I was almost caught up with crochet orders and I've now got 6 more pillows to make and some other things. It's going great right now and Christmas is not even here yet! I'm going to finish up the swaps and smaller orders before I start the pillows though. I should have most things done this week.

It's beginning to cool off a little bit here. It's only in the 70's today. The nights have really cooled off though.

I will be doing 40 hours a week at work starting on the 1st. It's only temporary while someone is out for surgery, about 8-9 weeks. I hope I can get everyone's Christmas cards done in time. I have not even designed them yet. I've asked Mike to pick out the pictures and then I can get going on them. I also have some archery stuff to get busy on.

I hope you all are having a wonderful day and will have an even better week!

Take care!

Football Pictures

Here's a Short Movie of the Game

I hope this will work and you all can see it. Andy is #54 in the red and white jerseys. They were playing against Richland. This video is the end of the game.

WE WON! WE WON!

WooHoo! Andy's first football game was today. They won 52-22!
How cool is that? He got to play at the end of the game. Then they decided to play a 5th quarter so the boys that didn't get much play time could play.
Unfortunatley, due to his ankle injury, he lost his playing spot. So now he has to earn it back. I'm sure he'll get back up there.

The varsity team played last night and they also won 34-0. The JV team is playing this afternoon.

I'll try to post a picture or two later today.

I was sick for a few days this week with a stomach thing. I'm finally feeling more normal now.

I've still got pillows to finish up so I can get my orders caught up. I've been working on pieces all week and now I have to put them together. I also have an order for slippers and a poncho. They should be quick to make up though.

Yesterday.....

was our 23rd Wedding Anniversary! We were married on Saturday, August 25, 1984. It was a hot day of about 90 in a park on the Columbia River. We had a big BBQ afterwards and just visited with all our family and friends. When we left the park, it was in my dad and mom's boat on the river.

Our honeymoon was spent on the Oregon Coast and it was a lot of fun. We stayed in motels, but we took some of our camping equipment and never got to camp. We had planned on camping the last 2 nights and when we were near Crater Lake it started raining. We ended up at Diamond Lake Resort and was raining so hard that the water was coming up under the door of our room! The next night we couldn't find an open campsite so we drove on home.

The Oregon Coast is one of my favorite vacation spots. I'm big on the tourist stuff too. The Oregon Coast Aquarium is my main stop in Newport. They always have something new there and I could just watch the otters and seals all day long. We did get to see Keiko, the killer whale from Free Willy, before he was moved to Iceland. That was really neat!

Yesterday, Mike had to work for a few hours. He came home with a mushy card and a dozen purple roses for ME!! They are so pretty and smell really good. He's so sweet!

Friday night we went to the fair. We watched The Guess Who in concert. They are still good after all these years. We always ride the bus out there, it's the only way to go. We pulled up there and I could see my sister and a friend in the ticket line. I called her really quick and told her to buy 4 more tickets and I'd meet them at the entry. So we didn't have to stand in line for tickets. We hung out with them for a while during and after the concert. They boys took off and did the rides and games at the carnival. We got home around midnight and Mike had 2 hours of sleep and had to get up to be at work at 4:00am. He came home and went right to bed for several hours.

Andy had football pictures yesterday too. School pictures are on Friday. School starts on Tuesday and his first game is on Saturday. The following weekend Mike will be going hunting for a week. Fall is here already, although it doesn't feel like fall. It's going to be a busy week.

I also found out from an Etsy friend that my boobie pillow was linked on a website called BoingBoing.net. That was on Thursday and I had 7 orders or requests for pillows by Saturday morning! I'm busy this week! I should be able to have them all done within 2 weeks.

A Special Thanks to Mom and my sis for picking up all the stuffing and nipples at yard sales for me. It sure saves some money for everything that I make that is stuffed.

Well, I've gotta get to crocheting some more and get these pillows out.

Have a wonderful Sunday!!

Well, It's NOT Broken....

You all know how Andy has been practicing and working out all summer for football?? Well, his 2nd day of real football practice and he rolls his foot! The xrays show no break in it. YEH!!! However, it is a deep ligament tear. The doctor says that 7-10 days he'll be good as new. He can still get credit for practice if he shows up and is there for talks and he can use the weight equipment. He's on crutches for a few days.

JR and I were going to get together last night and catch up, but it didn't work out for either one of us. Maybe next week will be better. It's only been since like last October since we've see each other. At least we talk on the phone once in a while.

I was watching the end of NASCAR qualifying today and Kasey Kahne was in the pole position. The last 2 drivers were Greg Biffle and Jeff Gordon. Greg goes out and takes the POLE!! I'm whooping and hollering, yeah! Then Jeffy goes out and beats it! (You could probably hear me from across the country yelling!) I was not happy. I'm not a Gordon fan. I so hope that Biffle wins it this weekend. He has been running better lately and his car seems to be quite fast this weekend.

Stay tuned for further developments on the foot, race and whatever else comes up! haha

Christmas In July Crochet Swap

I did another crochet swap recently. Lookie what Gina, my swap partner sent to me. It's wonderful! I can't believe all the ornaments I have to add to the tree this year! Aren't they pretty? She put so much work into everything.

Thank you Gina!

It's Thursday!

It's Thursday and the week is almost over.

Andy started the real football practice yesterday. He is really enthused about playing this year. The first game is on Sept. 1st.

I took some items to the booster club lady at the high school to sell. Everything in school colors. I hope it sold okay on registration day. I have another month before the first home game to get more stuff ready. I guess I need to stock up on yellow and red and the sports ball beads. I use the beads on scrunchies and I think they'll go over really well.

The boys are not wanting to go back to school, as usual. I am happy and I'm not. I hate dealing with homework issues with them. On the bright side, I'll know where they are for a few hours a day and fewer sleep overs.

Mike and I are planning on getting away for a weekend. We're going to take the trailer and go to the mountains -- no kids and maybe KC dog will go with us. Sadee can stay home with the boys.

It's time to take Andy to his 2nd football practice of the day. He had one this morning and one this evening. Tomorrow he has a 3 hour one.

More later, I hope!

Yard Saling

I went yard saling today with my sis, mom and Mom's cousin.
We had a nice time and I made a haul on yarn and some more crochet books.
In the yarn, was a box with 2 partially made up baby ghans and lots of squares already started. It is really clean yarn and several full skeins of Red Heart brand. I'll try to take a picture of it later.

I finished up a baby afghan order yesterday and delivered it. I've been making so many small items lately that it seems like it's been a long time since I've finished an afghan. Now, I'm concentrating on the high school items for the Booster Club and then on to Halloween and Christmas items.

I am going to have to start designing our Christmas cards soon. If I don't at least get them designed, they will never get done. That's the hardest part. I'm not much of a graphic designer but everyone seems to like the cards when they get them.

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend, Peoples!

Crochet, Archery, Crochet, Archery.....

Well, it's been a few days since I've posted anything here. I've been a little busy.

I've been making up things for orders on my store and swaps. I'm hoping to be caught up this weekend, but we'll see what happens.

Andy will be starting actual football practice next week. I can't believe that school will be starting in 3 weeks. The summer went so fast!

We had an archery club meeting last night. It was a good turnout of people. We got a lot talked about and the president is learning a lot about it. He is a past president, but things have changed so much with what has been being done that he's new at it. I was hoping we had a new publicity person, but that doesn't seem to have panned out afterall. It appears that the new gal will be going back to Tacoma for work soon. So I'm back doing it until someone will step up to the plate. I did inform them to be prepared to do a work party when it's time to send out flyers soon and everyone seemed to be on board to help me with that.

It was also decided to add another 3-D shoot to our schedule. We used to have a shoot in November and dropped it due to a lack of interest. We have added it back on now. We just have to decide on a date, which I have to make sure it's not going to interfere with any other club's shoots or events.

I also need to update our mail and email lists from this past year's shoots. That's a big project that the boys will be helping me with. Although, they don't know it yet.

Well, I'll let you all go for now and see what today will bring.

Have a wonderful week!

Flip Flops

Every year on this past Friday, my mom, sister and sort of sister spend the day yard saling and going to a huge art show. We had a really fun time!
I made all of them a pair of flip flops.

Mike and the boys went to the annual hydroplane races this weekend. I sent some of my new huggies with them to sell and on Saturday, Mike sold all but one! But, he came home with some special orders and I was up late last night and up early this morning to get them all done for today. The last time I spoke with him, he had 3 left. He had 15 yesterday and 15 today. They went over really well down there! They are also handing out my business cards, so maybe I'll have more orders. I think once it cools off, the boobie slippers will start selling too. My hand hurt last night and is hurting a bit today too I did so much crocheting yesterday. I may have to soak it and see if that helps it any.

The Sears repair person for the refrig. is scheduled to be here between 8am and 5pm Monday! At least the cable company narrows it down to 4 hours. Do they not realize that people have jobs and can't be home all day waiting for them?? It really irritates me what they call customer service! NOT!

Well, the boat races are over now. Dave Villwok wins again. He isn't who I was cheering for, but my boat, Myers Auto Tech., was having trouble all day. Myers is the company that did all the work on my Montero this past year. They are awesome! If you live in the Tri-Cities and really want to have your vehicles worked on by a great group of people, call them. They have treated us so great and my car was not an easy job! The boats go to Seattle for this next week. That's always an interesting race to watch.

I've really gotta go rest my hand. I have lots of typing to do tomorrow at work.

It's Tuesday....

Well, it's Tuesday and the week did not start off very well.

On Sunday, we noticed that our refrigerator/freezer was having trouble. Monday morning we removed all the freezer items and put them in the large freezer out in our shed. The outside edges were getting hot, around the freezer only. I called to get a repair person here and they can't show up until July 30th! A week away! I'm thinking, ok the refrig part still works and they told me that it won't catch on fire before they get here.

Well, yesterday, the refrig. section just stops working! So hubby goes to get ice bags, the boys bring in a couple of coolers and we fill up the camp trailer refrig. too. Now, we are camping inside the house!! I'm so not happy with Sears right now. We've been paying for an extended warranty on appliances and I'm thinking that it's time to get them looked at and close them. Warranties should give us a priority of turn-around time on broken items. Expecially, when it's the only refrig. we have. I don't think I'll be buying any more appliances from them after this. I'm sure I could have bought from a local company and gotten it repaired much sooner.

The hydroplane boat races are this weekend and I'm staying home this year. Mike is going on Saturday with a buddy. For some reason, Mike's company decided that Saturday is a 21 and over only day. It's really the wrong day to do that, since all the kid stuff is done on Friday and Saturday and hardly nothing on Sunday, just races and the air show. On Sunday, he is taking the boys down there. The company has a private viewing area and with a banquet permit, they can drink inside it. We used to be in charge of getting all the food, drink, BBQ and permit down there, year after year, since we liked to get there really early to park close. After many years of babysitting drunken adults, seeing that they get home on time and watching my own kids, I'm done with it. For now, I'll just sit at home and watch them on TV if they are on there. I'll post pictures later of what it looks like down there on the river.

Well, I'm hoping that the rest of the week goes better. I'm off the work and the post office this morning. I needed to mail out something yesterday and with the refrig. problem, I never got there.

I hope you all have a good week!

Breast Cancer Walk

I am working on a bunch of stuff for a friend of mine in Pennsylvania. She is making money for a breast cancer walk that she is doing. She is having a craft and bake sale on July 21st. She's going to sell some of my boobie items there too.

She has a store on Etsy, like I do and has some really cute stuff.
Please visit her
store and buy, buy, buy. It's for a great cause!

It's been really hot here! Over 100 for about 4 days or more now. It's supposed to be 108-110 for the next few days. I'm not going to ask for rain though. Some buddies of mine in Texas did that and are just now able to walk in their yards, I think.

You all have a wonderful rest of the week!

Lator, Gators and Gatorettes!

Andy's Birthday Picnic

We had a fun day at the park for Andy's birthday. Several of his friends came and some of our family were able to come.

Here's the cake my sister made. There is one candle in it already. The red and yellow are the colors for the boy's high school.

There's the birthday boy in the yellow shirt. He got his hair cut recently in a mohawk. Not my idea. It's a football thing.
This is my dad and mom.
We got Andy a new bike and that's Tyke standing behind him.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANDY!

At 1:04pm today, it's official, Andy will be 14 years old! WooHoo!
I sure feel better today than I did 14 years ago.
I hope you have a wonderful birthday weekend!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

It's the 4th of July already! I can't believe it. This year seems to be going so quickly. I'm already thinking of things I need to do for the big holiday season.

Well, I think I'm going over the edge with these boob things. I think that once the weather starts getting cooler, I'll be selling a lot of these.

Hot Days are Coming

I heard that it's supposed to get up to 107 by Thursday this week! Summer took it's time getting here, but it's here now.

It's July already and Andy's birthday is this Friday. He'll be 14. We can hardly believe it. He wants everyone to get together out at Hood Park again this year for a bbq, swimming and fun. It was fun last year, except for the fact that mom was in the hospital. She's doing fine now so they plan to be there this year.

I've been swapping up a storm lately. I'm down to one square a month swap until December and we are starting a Christmas in July swap right now. I may make up the rest of my squares and send them out by August. That way I can start working on my holiday cards. Yes, I said holiday cards. If I don't at least get them designed by early September, I'll never get them all done and mailed. I'm sure some of you would enjoy getting them earlier than last year.

I have friends in Texas that are getting very wet this past week. They hadn't had rain in ages and now it's terrible for them. One friend has had a tree limb come through her roof. Fortunately, it did not fall onto the couch. Hang in their ladies and I hope it dries up for you soon.

Well, I guess it's about time to finish getting ready for work. I'm only working 20 hours a week, which is nice. I'm doing 5 hours a day, 4 days a week. That leaves me with Fridays off, except for this week. I'll be off on Wednesday for the 4th.

Can Huggies

This one has stars on it and is just in time for The 4th of July. These go without any explanation!
What do you all think of my newest creation? Yeah, I know, I can put boobs on anything! haha
I've got more ideas for these and you'll be surprised, I'm sure.

Fluffy Stuffies Swap

I participated in the Fluffy Stuffies Swap over at the 'Mania and this is what I received. Isn't she pretty? Tamking did a beautiful job on her. She is really detailed. Her dress even has a snap on the back and can be removed. She also sent the yarn and angel cloth. Great job Tammy! Thank you so much!

Camping Trip

Here I am shooting at some wild beast in the forest! This is Andy's friend Evan that went with us. His parents would be so proud of this shot! haha

Here's Andy getting ready to shoot and Evan watching him.
Here's Andy's 2nd place trophy.
Here's the boys getting air out of the tent so they can put it in the bag.
This is our trailer and the camp we had set-up.

And here I am, pulling yarn from a skein.
Pretty valley.
This is a group of archers shooting at the long distance animal. I didn't get the moose in the picture though. If you click on the picture, it will enlarge and you can see them better. Believe it or not, there is a woodpecker in this picture. He's low on the right side of the main tree. He had red feathers around his head. If you click on the picture, it will enlarge and you can see him.
We had a fun time. Andy got 2nd place and I got a 3rd place. Evan won a gift certificate for an archery shop in Yakima. Now his folks will have to go get him some equipment. He really did well for his 1st archery shoot. His score about doubled from Saturday to Sunday.

The weather was a little rainy and a little windy, but not too bad. It was tolerable to be outside.

This weekend we are having our archery club picnic and Andy leaves on Saturday morning for football camp in Boise, ID. He'll be gone 5 days. He is really excited about it. It will be quite an experience for him and I'm sure he'll make some new friends along the way.

Mom's New Puppy

This is the new puppy that Mom got last week. She's a miniature Dachsund. Isn't she a cutie! She only weighs 1 lb, so far.

Here she is playing with one of her big sisters.
This is her other big sister and she's not so happy about the new puppy.

From Robin Concerning Linda Slick

Robin emailed me a couple of days ago to tell me that Linda Slick has been given only a couple weeks to live. If you are a classmate and would like more information to contact her, please email me and I'll send it to you. You can reach me here: Jodi

Today From Robin:
This probably goes without saying but I know how busy our lives get and understand how sometimes good intentions get buried in the hustle of living so just wanted to say............If you're touched to write to Linda (or visit), do it today, or as soon as possible. She may outlive doctor's predictions of 2-3 weeks or she may not have quite that long but she would appreciate your support, remembrances, prayers, thank you's, etc. now while she is still able to read them herself and process her impact on the lives of old students and friends. I visited her yesterday and she does remember so many of you with love and loyalty.

Friday Night

High School graduation is tonight and tomorrow for most of the local schools. It's going to be a beautiful weekend for us. Very HOT though! Over 100! Summer took it's time getting here, but it's here now.

Andy made it through is first week of football practice. He's getting tanned already on his neck and his face from all this sun.

Mike finally has the whole weekend off! WooHoo! It's been a while.

I'm going to be working on some more pillows and hats to sell at the shoot we're planning on going to next weekend. I hope I can sell a few things. My store has been keeping me pretty busy though. I also have a couple more swap items to make up and send out. I think I'm going to take some swap time off. I've got a couple of baby afghans to finish up too. One is an order, one is a gift.

I hope that everyone has a good weekend!

I'm Really Not Missing

Well, I haven't posted in a while. I've been busy working on some crochet swap items and selling pillows and hats.

We are planning to go to another archery shoot on the 8th-10th. It's a traditional only one. It's being put on by Mt. Clemans Archers. They put on a fun shoot and are really nice folks. I hope to take some of my pillows and hats up there to sell also. I might even throw in some of the kid's stuff too.

I just have so many projects on my mind that I'd like to make up, and so little time to do them lately. For some reason the boys all seem to be glued to the house and are really not giving me any down time at all. The weather has been beautiful finally and everyone should be outside more. I've started taking the dogs for a walk in the evenings. We don't go for long, but it does feel good to go.

Andy started football practice yesterday. He's playing for Kamiakin his freshman year. It's going to be a long summer for him. He has spring practice until June 15th, then on June 16th he goes to Boise State for 5 days of football camp. On July 9th (I think) he'll start with summer conditioning and soon after will be starting actual football practice. The coach said they had a record number of boys turn out this time. They ran out of equipment and are awaiting some new stuff to come in.

School is out on June 8th. WooHoo! I can't wait.

Later Friends!

27 Years Ago Today......

the sky was dark and the ash started to fall around us!

It's the anniversary of Mount St. Helens blowing her top. I went and played Frisbee in the park with some friends while the ash was coming down. I had friends stuck all over the state. (Hey Karen, bet you don't miss Ritzville at all!) It was an interesting time for everyone in this part of the country.

What were you doing on May 18th, 1980? Send me a comment and tell me all about it. I'd love to hear your stories.

You can click on the words Mount St. Helens above and go to the website to read more about it.

This one made it through the goal posts, perfectly! Everyone was clapping for them.
