Purple Afghan

This afghan was made for my SIL. She picked the colors and pattern a long time ago. I'm really happy to have it done this week!! It started out to be a queen size and ended up as a king after I added the border.

So, what do you all think of it?

Crochet Olympics - Completed

I'm Done! I did it!
I joined the crochet olympics and said I would do 20 12" squares and 10 cradle purses and/or boy's backpacks. I actually finished a couple of days ago, but just now took pictures of it all.
The squares are going to Heartmade Blessings this week. The purses and backpacks are prizes for our next archery shoot. I still need to make a few more just in case we have a lot of young kids there.

Sadee Explores

Tonight, Sadee decided to do some exploring in the back yard. She got stuck under our shed. Mike had to lay down on his back and wedge himself under the shed as far as he could and dig some of the dirt out to give her more room to get out. It's strange that all of our adult dogs have been able to crawl around under there without any trouble, and we have this little pup and she gets stuck between 2 boards. She was so scared and crying the whole time. It was only about 15-20 minutes, but it seemed longer. Mike plugged up the hole now, so this won't happen again. She's been sleeping pretty much since she got out of there. It really wore her out.

February 19th

We made it the night with Sadee. She slept almost 6 hours before barking to wake us up. No accidents during the night either, YEH!! KC is even being very patient with her. I'm very proud of her.

Today is the Daytona 500. The start of the 2006 NASCAR season is finally here! Go GREG BIFFLE!!

Our New Baby, Meet Sadee!

Well, this isn't the new puppy. This is KC, my Basset Hound/Australian Shepherd mix. She thinks she's a lap dog half the time. It's a good thing my recliner chair is big!
This is Sadee.

We got a new puppy this morning! Sadee is a Yellow Lab/Golden Retreiver. She's a cutie. We lost our beloved Allie at Christmas time and it's been kind of quiet with only one dog at our house since then.

Cradle Purses & Backpacks

I'm making 10 of these for the Crochet Olympics. I need about 10 purses and 10 backpacks to hand out to the Cubs (kids under 7 years old) at our next archery shoot in March. Some of the little animals I found at Michael's. The monkeys and hand puppets I got at our local $1.00 store. They fit everything perfectly!

I'm going to put some balloons on a 3-D target and let the kids pop them. They'll all get one of these to take home just for having some fun with their bows!

Crochet Olympics

Here's the 12" squares that I've made so far for Heartmade Blessings. I'm making 20 of them during the Olympics to send.

Archery Shoot

We had an archery shoot on Superbowl Sunday. It turned out to be a beautiful day. Very sunny and not too cold with a slight breeze off and on. The turnout of people was amazing! We had over 250 shooters. That's really good for a one day shoot, in this part of the country anyway. We almost ran out of parking for everyone. It was a good day, until the Superbowl, anyway.

Don't Throw Rocks!!

A friend of ours gave us the cutest picture of our boys from 1999. They spent the weekend with Dad at elk camp and apparently got in trouble for throwing rocks. They had to stand and hold these big rocks up until Dad said they could stop. It really makes the arms tired quick! They were about 6 and 9 years old here.
